this is awful late, even though I live across the street from where John lived I did not know that he had died until yesterday. John was a good neighbor and a friendly and nice person. He loved his dog (BB) very much and I will miss his smile.

I am so sad to hear of Johns
passing. I also tried several times to locate him while home visiting family in Aiken, but had no luck. John and I dated several years while in school, he was always so kind, and had a huge heart and loving spirit. I'm saddened to know our chances of meeting again in this lifetime are over, so I'll look forward to hopefully meeting again in the next. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Johnny, I was in Aiken last week from Maryland and asked about you but no one knew how to reach you. I have known you longer than most can remember. Forty-six years comes to mind. We had memories for a novel. I will miss you, Johnny Day and say hello to Dad and Mom
