I was saddened by the news of John's passing. I worked with him at Roanoke City DSS. I remember some of our last conversations specifically surrounding my recent retirement (2/1/19.) I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of John. He was one of the nicest men I've ever known. He had a smile that could light up a room and he was loved by many. I pray his family and friends may find comfort in each other during their time of need.

John was my fellow classmate since the 7th Grade at Hayes - he was a gem and he will be greatly missed by the Class of "81".
