John Luke Sr.

During my 40+ years working under Luke family leadership, my time with Mr. Luke was limited to two very short conversations. I liked him immediately - his graciousness, his humor. He was a man to be respected. I mourn his passing and offer my sincere condolences.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the Luke family. I had the privledge of meeting John & Joy in 1999 when my Dad became ill & I brought him to Virginia to care for him. John & my Dad were World War II buddies & had not seen each other in 50 years. John was a wonderful friend (also known as a KEEPER) & I will miss him greatly. My heart goes out to you, Joy.

It was my distinct pleasure to have known John Luke. He was a very gracious and friendly man. I never saw him without a smile.He will be missed.
