John Pervis Milnor Jr.

I worked as a medical student with Dr. Milnor for four years at Baptist Memorial Hospital, gathering data from patients who had cardiac contusion from blunt trauma. Dr. Milnor was a superb mentor, teacher, and medical clinician with a kind and gracious heart. My life, even after fifty years´ medical practice, has consistently been blessed and enriched through my experience and friendship with him.

I was a research medical student for Dr. Milnor at Baptist Memorial Hospital for four years. We studied traumatic cardiac contusion as evidenced by enzyme and EKG changes. He was a marvelous mentor and inspiration who loved teaching immensely. I am forever indebted to him.

I remember being one of his attending physicians when he was the Director of the Internal Medicine at Baptist Hospital. He was a unique individual and will surely be missed.

Pervis was a friend of ours for many years. We will miss him and that wonderful laugh .
