Not sure what to say?

In 1991, I rode accross the US on a bicycle with John. The trip was challenging and I wanted to quit many times. I was grateful that John was there everyday to help me keep going. I kept in touch with him over the years and spoke with him about his illness last year. He was as upbeat and optimistic as ever. John was a unique individual who embodied the qualities that made this country the greatest in the world. My condelences to Ms. Nichols. Ride on John, ride on.

Dear Teri and Family;
I was sadden to hear of John's earthly departure. I knew him briefly thru GSMOL, for whom he did so much in the 90's. I remember as one of the kindest I ever met.
Marguerite Kendrick, sp. 197

I managed the Wonder Bread Bakery Thrift Store in Ventura and worked with John in the 1980s. He was a very nice man and a pleasure to work with. My condolences to the family on your loss.
