My heartfelt condolences, Joyce. I did not know John except through you and the few departmental events he attended, but, like the Younce's, I have a deep appreciation for all you did for the students in our program (I got to know Ryan pretty well when he was a student here and I know he was far from alone in having you as Mama 2).

To the Skuce family and especially to Joyce:
Jimmy and I were saddened to hear of the passing of John. Even though we did not know him personally, Joyce has been a dear friend to our family since our son, Ryan, was a Computer Science major at NCSU. Joyce was Ryan's advisor and soon became Mama 2 to him. She was always there for him, even opening her home to him when he lost power during a snowstorm. To the Skuce Family and to Mrs. Skuce most of all, Brian and I would like to offer our deepest sympathies to you. As a former parent and current staff member with CCYM I can truly say what a pleasure it was to know Mr. Skuce. Over the years I had heard so many stories about the encampment adventures on the Skuce farm and I finally had to see for myself. The Skuce's always made us feel at home and each new encampment was always better than the last. Brian and I are deeply saddened by Mr....
