Not sure what to say?

Dr. Ward was a great man and doctor. I say all the time when one of us gets sick, "I sure wished we could go see Dr. Ward and get a shot of Penicillin, pay five dollars, and be good to go", and he is now a legend of Jefferson County. Prayers for peace and comfort for the family.

I am sorry to hear about Dr. John Ward. Dr. Ward was our doctor in Shellman, Ga in the early 1950's. What a great guy he was to my family (I was 15 years old then) . He was my friend and I will always appreciate his kindness to my family. We probably sill owe him for his services. He did indeed make a difference in this world.

To Martha, Charlie, David and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I need to write a book about John Ward, John Lott and John Kelly. I feel so fortunate to have the most amazing memories of my father and the special friendships he had. Dr. Ward saved my daddy's life so many times and I lost count of the nights he visited our family when we were sick. I loved him dearly. He was truly my daddy's best friend. I'm sure he and John Lott are in heaven making up new jokes. I know you...

Dr. Ward always made you feel better. He entertained you while he doctored you. Two for the price of one. Where could you get that today? No where! Ride that bicycle you kept at the hunting camp right into the gates of heaven!

Dr. John was a true and loyal friend to my father John Fox. He will be missed.

Dr. Ward was the Best. I remember a time a patient met him on the Golf Course & needed a prescription. Doc wrote it on the back of a score card. Our thoughts are with the Family.

David and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

God's peace.

Dear Family,
Dr. Ward's care for Mama and Daddy's family will never be forgotten. Mama thought he walked on water; he delivered our “surprise” twin brothers in 1958. Dr. Ward exclaimed to his nurse “Martha, there's another one!” after Stephen, the first, was delivered.
He had a great sense of humor and was quite the county commissioner. I always enjoyed running into him, wherever that might be.
May God bless you all, in your time of loss, with sweet memories and His peace.
