Not sure what to say?

John shared our love of classic cars. Mark and John used to build hotrods while at Sac High. We had kept in touch with John over the years. More recently, John helped Mark secure a temporary slip for his large sailboat at the Long Beach Yacht Club and Jack (a resident of Long Beach) had seen John and Sandi at places like the Sunday outdoor market and Chuck's diner. John was blessed with humor, an upbeat personality, and expert technical knowledge. We will miss him, and, we extend our...

Melinda Jacquier

Very sorry to hear of John's passing. Bert Swanston and I had some great times with John in the old days, the memories are special. My thoughts to Sandy and family.

John,
I will forever miss that sly grin of yours and the verbal assault that would follow. You were one of the funniest and genuine people I have ever met. During the too short time you were down here you did exceptionally well with the most important tasks, family and friends. RIP my friend and save me a spot in your 4-some up above. EK

We were so very sorry to hear that John had passed away. He always had a smile on his face.
The obituary was a wonderful tribute to a man who touched many lives.

I was saddened to hear that John passed away.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences, I remember the first time
I met John he made me feel welcome right away and always can count
on John to make me laugh with a good joke

My memories of John go back to when he was a young man up at Wrights Lake. We all had some crazy fun times up there and John could be found, at times, in the middle of it.

Our family sold our cabin in 1970, so there were big gaps of time in between my visiting the area. If John and Sandy were up there, John always went out of his way to warmly great me...to visit a little. He'll never know how much that was appreciated.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family Sandy.

So many memories of being with John and Sandy in Sacramento in the 1970s and 80s. Wright's Lake, Tahoe, and cribbage nights at their house when Michael and our Karen were babies. But two particular exchanges between John and me are favorites. First: early in Wayne's and my marriage, John approached us, looking intently at me, poked his finger under the front of Wayne's dress shirt and said, I used to do his shirts better than this! When they lived together, he loved Wayne's mother's mangle ...

My Pine Avenue and VCC brother....I'll miss you dearly! When ever we got together I always left laughing. Sandy and your boys are blessed to have had the best husband and father ever. God bless you all.
