Johnnie Willis Rogers, Jr.

ROGERS, Johnnie, Willis Jr. , age 68, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road., Flint.

Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Visitation 5-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Johnnie was born in Flint on February 17, 1951. He spent 25 years of loving unity with Cheryl and they were married on May 18, 2019 in Flint. He worked as a Master Mechanic for the City of Flint for 25 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ all his life. At 17, he travelled to Panama with a church mission to help people in need. Johnnie was also a proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed target shooting, guns, dogs, and loved riding motorcycles. Above all else he loved his family.

Surviving are wife, Cheryl;

Children, Lisa, Kelley, Jennifer and Melissa (Rusty) Lee;

Grandchildren, Dominic, Tayah, Kurtis, and Ashley;

Parents, Johnnie and Edna Rogers;

Brothers, Steve, Tim, Tom and Terry (Carrie) Rogers;

And special friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amy Jo.
