I have been in this business for going on 48 years. When I was growing up in Towanda Pennsylvania I was able to watch local wrestling out of Elmira New York. The wrestler I most loved to watch was the Champion Johnny Powers. Little did I know that I would myself get into this business. Years passed and I was able to finally be on a show with him. He had the biggest smile when I told him this. Many years have passed since that time and it does sadden me to hear this news.

First and foremost, my prayers and well wishes go out to the entire Powers Family. I attended many wrestling matches at the Cleveland Arena with my grand father, mom, and other family members during the 1970's. I also attended the Wrestling Superbowl at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Johnny Powers had superhero status in Cleveland for a period of time in the 70's.
