Not sure what to say?

You are forever in our prayers. Your guidance for Matthew helped mature him and help him help others.

Father Jose has surely earned his Heavenly reward.

Our family knew Father Jose from his days at Nativity of Our Lord in Kenner. He was a wonderful person, and an outstanding example of the kind of person a Catholic priest should be. He had a great sense of humor, and a very sincere humility,
as he always made us feel welcome and important to him. I know he suffered, even before his first transplant, but he always had a smile for everyone. Father Jose, rest in the arms of the Father forever. You earned it. Please pray for all of us.

You have touched our lives and will always be in our hearts. Thank you for everything you have done. Now the angels are blessed with your presence and your smile (and are being entertained by your great sense of humor).

Love,
Lisa and Elizabeth ("Lizz")

Father Jose was a man for the people. His unique stories of times when he ministered, included a wedding at 5:00 AM so the couple could leave for a cruise, a trip to Ponchatoula, La. to bury Rod Burtchaell who had moved away from CTK, he went to West Jeff Hospital when he heard my brother-in-law Ben Martinez had just passed away, and there were countless stories of situations through which he ministered to his Spanish and American parishioners. One of the quips I remember, is what he said...

He touched so many lives. I learned so much from him. May his family and friends find comfort in their faith and knowing that he is home with the Father.
