Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home - Lorain Obituary

José I. Santiago, 83 of Lorain, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of God whose life touched everyone who knew him.

Born to Ines Santiago and Aurea Díaz, José dedicated 34 years of service to Ford Motor Company before retiring. He was admired for his hard work, integrity, and steadfast devotion to his family.

José is survived by his loving wife, Aurea Santiago; his sons, José A. Santiago and Carlos D. Santiago; and his beloved grandsons, Nathaniel and Isaac Santiago.

A true family man, José loved spending time with his loved ones, watching wrestling, playing dominoes, and working on cars. His devotion to his wife and family was unwavering, and his laughter and warmth will be deeply missed. José was a faithful member of House of Praise Church, where his quiet strength and trust in God inspired those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and generous heart. The love and wisdom he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

His family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. His funeral service will be in the funeral home Wednesday, November 5 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
