I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Joseph DeLucia, my high school principal. Mr DeLucia had such a profound influence on my life, both while in high school, and then throughout my adult years, as I could often hear his voice guiding me through difficult situations. He was a great mentor, always taking the time to get to know his students at PHS. For me, this was especially true when I had a life-altering accident during my senior year. His words of wisdom were such a blessing in a...

I was so sad to hear of Mr. DeLucia's passing. He was an amazing principal. He took the time to get to know us all at PHS, and as a HS teacher now, I know how important that was (and is).

His encouragement and guidance not only kept me in the profession, but it also helped me realize the importance of what I was doing. He was a great mentor to young teachers and I have tried to do the same by following his influence and often sharing things he taught me with young teachers I work with at the graduate level. He has never...
