I just found out about the passing of Reverend Parker. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

On behalf of everyone at the Mission to Seafarers in Vancouver, BC I want to offer our support and prayers to Dorothy and family.
The Rev'd Joseph Parker was the Senior Port Chaplain with the Mission for many years in the 80's and 90's along with Dorothy, bringing comfort to the many seafarers in the port including providing centres for them to relax in.
On behalf of those many seafarers and all at the Mission to Seafarers I want to say thank you for your faithful service.

I knew Revered Joe when he was the padre for the Mission to Seafarers in Vancouver. He was a man with intense commitment to the mission,and a tireless advocate for seafarers.He worked tirelessly for the men and women of the merchant marine who were often thousands of miles from home and in need of a friend. Thank you Joe.
