Joyce Lynn Yarbrough

Lynn and I were friends when we were in the Army Reserve together. I haven't seen her since the early 1980's, but I often thought of her. She was a wonderful person.

I WORKED WITH LYNN (SGT Y, AND MOMMA BEAR) WHEN SHE WAS IN DISPATCH. SHE WAS SOFTHEARTED AND TENDER, BUT FIRM WHEN I GOT OUT OF LINE. SHE WAS ALWAYS KIND AND SUPPORTIVE, AND DEFINITELY A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. SHE WILL SHURELY BE MISSED. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HER FAMILY.

I talked with Joyce several times taking her back in forth to therapy and back and forth from radiation treatment. We were coming back from radiation treatment monday and she said she was going home friday, I told her I was happy for her and hoped that she got better. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Yarbrough family. I used to work with Lynn at the Sheriff's Office, back when she was a Sgt. She always put a smile on your face. She will be missed.

I used to get several of those motherly looks of "you'd better straighten up or else", I loved her, just as I love my own mother. I was a new mother and she had so much to offer in the way of motherly advise. I used to listen and watch her with Mary, Morgan and Marli and I always wanted to be the same with my children. I love you and miss you dearly! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May you look to the Lord for your comfort and strength.
