Read MoreI remember Ms. Julia fondly from my youth. She was friends with my Mom (Alberta Schmidt) and Grandma (Anna Schmidt). Even though she moved away from SW Baltimore when I was young, my Mom would see her from time to time. To the family-I know that it's difficult today to see beyond your sorrows, but may looking back in memories help comfort you in your tomorrows.

Some of the best memories of my life were spent with Ms. Julia, Mr. Matt, Bruddy, Dennis, Kathy, Billy and Alan. I will hold in my heart all the Sundays at the beach and Patapsco park. All the running back and forth between our yards playing. Watching Ms. Julia and her "sister Rene" as she lovingly called my mom grow their Rose Gardens and talk across the alley as they hung out their laundry.
