Julio Laguarta was one of my football heroes.
I made Susie laugh when I bowed down to him
at a team mate's funeral. I played football with
his younger brother Don and we won the city champion
ship. When Julio graduated from Lamar High School
I said who could ever replace him? Don said did you
ever hear of Walter Fondren. I played on the Lamar
State Champs 1953. A great honor, but in my life
no one will ever replace Julio.

I have known Julio since we were students at West University Elementary, Pershing Jr High and Lamar High where Julio was the football team quarterback. He had leadership qualities. Sad to see that he has passed.

Julia was a true leader in the real estate
profession, we are all thankful for his
guidance and abilities.
