Junior Ray Scaggs

Junior Ray Scaggs, Reeds Spring, MO, son of A. Clay and Mary (Pepper) Scaggs

was born December 1, 1929 in Omaha, Arkansas and departed this life on April 18, 2018 at the age of 88.

Junior had been a life-long resident of the area, working in construction all his life.  Junior loved to fish and knew all the good fishing spots, he was a huge fan of baseball and listening to old westerns.  He didn’t care much for flowers, but oh, could he grow tomatoes.  And he was also known for feeding all the stray animals that came to his door!  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Reeds Spring, MO VFW.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include: nephew, Larry Arc and a niece and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tri-Lakes Humane Society, Reeds Spring, MO.  Burial will be at Yocum Pond Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
