Kandice Bangsund Obituary
Kandice Bangsund unexpectedly passed away in her sleep in the early hours of Easter Sunday. She is survived by her four children Darcy (Tamasin), Dana, Ashley (Nick), and Darren (Alex), her sister Cheri (Jerry), spouse Mel, and many dear friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lively and charismatic, Kandice made a strong impression on everyone she encountered. Born to Thelma and Olaf Bangsund in Wynyard, SK, her sense of adventure took her far and wide to places like Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Guatemala, and much of Canada. She eventually settled in BC, never far away from the coast that she loved. Passionate in everything she did, she is remembered for her delicious cooking, beautiful singing voice, expert dog grooming, fun-loving spirit, infectious laughter, and so much more.
Services will be private, with a celebration of life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kandice's name to the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre or The Greater Vancouver Food Bank in honour of her love of feeding good food to hungry people.

I just found out that my friend had passed. I can't express how sad I am to hear this. Kandice was my support during a difficult time in my life.Without her I am not sure I could have made it. I am so very glad that I got to spend the later part of my school years with Kandice~~~ so many happy memories~~~I know that you must have been extra special for God to have called you home to be with Him in Heaven~~~ I will ALWAYS cherish knowing you, I just wish that we could have visited again, it would have been so awesome to re-connect with you again. RIP Kandice. I have many memories from our time in Sicamous as teenagers. You always made me laugh. I am so happy that we did reconnect. Until we meet again.

My Dear Kandice, my heart is aching with the news of you not being with us any more. I feel lonely. You were my best friend.
