Not sure what to say?

Her Mother is my sister. So sorry for her Mom & Dad´s loss

You are missed each and every day!

My two friends and I made the trip to Topeka from St. Louis to attend Katherine's service. Her Mother, Marijo is our "sister in the pink"
Not looking forward to a memorial service, I was so glad I attended. It was wonderful hearing what a caring and beautiful woman she was. I feel like I left the service know exactly who Katherine was.
I am saddened that I did not get to meet her, but it is funny, some of the things people said about her, sounded like they were talking about her...

I attended Katherine's service today, and when I walked in the door, her mom thanked our family for taking Katherine under our wing. And I replied that Katherine had actually taken us under her wing. And that was so true. That wonderful woman had the biggest wings of anyone I've ever known, and now, after the celebration of her life today, I wanted to say how much I miss being under her wing. She took such good care of everyone she knew. Despite how much we miss her, we feel so very fortunate...

I went with Katherine last summer to provide moral support while she had her hair cut off. Though she shed a few tears during the process and thought that she was not nearly as attractive with short hair (a fact that is so untrue), she had it cut anyway because she was donating her hair to an organization that made wigs for cancer patients. That is the way Katherine lived her life and all those who she touched were blessed by her love, kindness, and generosity. Cicero is quoted as saying...

Katherine, I hope you know how much we'll all miss you, but I know also how much you were missing Scott & wanted to be with him. I believe in angels too dear, and know now that there's another one smiling down at all of us.

I was deeply saddened to read of Katherine's death. I had worked with her at Cotton-O'Neil only a few times but she always found us when my husband was in to see his Dr. She always gave us both hugs and big smiles and words of encouragement. We received many cards from her, of all kinds, during Rudy's illness, always with words of encouragement. She had sent me a book after learning of his death and then too soon she was gone. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The memories I have of Katherine and her dear pets will always be with me until I see her and Scott again in heaven. I went to LPN school with her and then worked at Cotton O'Neil with her. She was the kindest person I have ever had the honor of knowing. She came to visit me when I was in the hospital and comforted me when I had to give up my career as an LPN. She was a true friend to me and I will miss her terribly.

What a shock to hear of your passing sweet Katherine. Every year when the birthday card came in the mail of Princess and a short note to say HI, I always thought of the day you and Scott came to our house to pick up your new kitten "Princess".

I will never forget the times we shared during Scott's illness and the only part of your passing that can keep us going is to know that you are together again. My thoughts go out to your family in this time but we have to remember the...
