Kathryn Thomas Obituary
Kathryn "Kay" Thomas, 80, of La Porte, passed away February 25, 2018. She was born in La Porte, Texas on November 2, 1937 to Billie and Amil Springborn. She was married to Herman "Hank" Thomas for 40 years. Kay had a career in Force Management for Southwestern Bell. She was a Past Matron of LaPorte Chapter 683, then again at Archives 1095, and had a passion for sewing, crafting, and cooking. She was preceded in death by husband Herman Thomas, sister Ann Heidland, and brother Kenneth Simpson.
She is survived by her brother Charles Springborn; her son Mike Jardina and his wife Cheryl Jardina; her son Tim Jardina and his wife Kathy Jardina; her daughter Donna Jardina; the grandson she raised, Brian Jardina and his wife Brittanya Jardina; her grandchildren Sarah, Jo Rain, Timmy Eric, and Ryan; and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598. A Celebration of Life will be Friday, March 2, 2018 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. The family would like to invite guests to a reception from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
