Kevin, as I packed Jaydn's diaper bag for your wake I found inside all the chocolate turtles that you and I were stealing off the tables just the Sunday before. I'm so glad that we were just together and that my last memory of you was us laughing about all the turtles we took and us making fun of Mark for having my cell phone glued to his hands to track sports. I will forever keep memories like these in my heart.
Love your sister-in-law,
Brenda

A gentle wind blew across the land
Reaching out to take a hand
For on the winds the angels came
Calling out Kevin's name.

Left behind, the family and friends tears
Loving memories of the years
Of joy and love, a life well spent
And now to God he was sent.

On angel's wings, a heavenly flight
The journey home, towards the light
To those who weep, a life is gone
But in God's love, its but the dawn.

Sue, Danny, Nicole and Mackenzie,

Even though I only knew Kevin for about a year, it seemed like a lifetime. He, along with you guys have welcomed me into the "Firefighter Family". He was such a caring husband, father and friend. I keep remembering, on the day of Danny and Mackenzie's party, he was the "king of bag-o", beating every one who challanged him and he even tackled Chet and got him on the ground. We had sooo much fun that day. He will be deeply missed and I am sooo sorry for...

No words can describe this.

My heart goes out to the Nelsons and all those who were privileged enough to know and love Kevin. A truly devoted Dad, Husband, Brother and Son.

Kevin was my cousin by blood, but he was also my friend.
I have an enormous amount of memories that I will cherish the rest of my days.

He will always be missed and remembered.

My 2nd family-
I honestly feel as if i have lost a part of my own family on this one. I only got the honor of meeting Uncle Kevin twice, but both of those times were definately fun ones. Uncle Kevin will definately be missed and every one of you will be in my hearts and prayers.

Uncle Kevin
I'll miss u so much you were always a good laugh and you were a great inspiration to me and many others

Hey Uncle Kevin,
we have some good memories together. My favorite was this past Schaumburg fest, my mom and I came back to your house after. You and Diamond Jim were sitting in the back eating white castle's. As we were leaving, you said for me to shove some in my pockets for the ride home. And, of course I did. We all love and miss you, but I'm not going to say goodbye, but see you later.
Love,
Kyle
