JONES-McGLOWN, Mrs. Krissi- age 34, of Flint, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Harris Memorial C.O.G.I.C. 4317 Lippincott Blvd. Burton, MI 48519. The Officiant, P.A. Pasadena Ave. Flint, MI 48504 after which, a 7:00 pm musical celebration will be held in honor of Mrs. Krissi Jones-McGlown at Harris Memorial C.O.G.I.C. The final resting place will be Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, Burton, MI.
The life & legacy of the "simply amazing" Krissi Antoinette Jones-McGlown is one that radiates the passion & vibrancy with which she lived. Born to the parentage of Superintendent Kevelin & Mrs. Iola Joyce Jones, she burst onto the pages of time on Sept. 1, 1980.
After graduating from the Carman - Ainsworth School District in 1998, Krissi pursued her post secondary educational goals by attending Mott Community College. Her educational and employment experiences allowed her to enjoy success in the medical service field, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
A beautiful soul, both inside & out, Krissi was a gifted & talented songstress, with vocal abilities that made those who heard her marvel at the fact that such a tremendous voice was emanating from such a small, delicate vessel. A renown artist, she enjoyed sharing her remarkable gift through the ministry of song at Bountiful Love Ministries, where she served in Children's Ministry & as a leading psalmist of the Praise Team. Krissi was also a recording artist, showcased as a premier member of her brother Kevelins group, Unified in Christ.
Krissi was a devoted wife to Jewell & mother to four children; Caylen, Kyla, Mya & Sanai. She was the epitome of a sacrificial servant to her family, always willing to give of herself & resources to
ensure their happiness and success. Krissi was commonly known as "everybody's friend" bringing humor & joy to those she touched. Regardless of a persons status, or position in life, Krissi was willing to love unconditionally & graciously embraced all.
The final melody to the beautiful song we knew & loved as the "simply amazing" Krissi Jones-McGlown was heard on Jan. 10th, 2015 as she joined the church triumphant. She leaves to mourn her passing & celebrate her memory, her beloved husband, Jewell McGlown; her children, Caylen, Kyla, Mya & Sanai; step-children, Jewel & Jamonte McGlown; Her loyal parents, Superintendent Kevelin & Mrs. Iola Jones; Siblings, Sharee (Darryl) Hubbard, Iola Jones, Kevelin II (Tanisha) Jones, Jamarx (Tabitha) Marsh, Develin Jones, Timothy Jones, LauRen Jones & Nickolus South; Mother-in- law, Ms. C. Renee McGlown & Father-in-law, Mr. Fred Talley; Two brothers-in-law, Jermaine McGlown & Mirackle (Christina) McGlown; endeared friends as sisters, Ms. Christian "Janey" Eagle, Ms. Charisse "Risse" Adkins and Tammi Tyler; special cousin Christopher Jones along with a host of other aunts, uncles & cousins.
She was preceded in death by: grandparents, Pastor J.E. Walker Sr. & Mother Iola Walker, Mr. Charlie Jones & Mother Alice Williams; Aunt, Missionary Georgella Jones; Great-Aunt, Daisy Walker (who helped rear her); her uncle, Elder Noah Richardson & her sister, Ms. Alicea Jones-Blade.
While we can no longer hear her voice, the melody of her life & love will always be sung in our hearts. Krissi .....Simply Amazing.

To the Jones & McGlown family, my prayers are with you and the entire family & friends. The good Lord called my 36 year old daughter home on October 16, 2015 so I feel your pain but we know God makes no mistakes and he is a awesome God. I will keep you in my prayers as I too pray for strength. May God be your comforter.
