Ben Cooper
August 28, 2011
To the entire Seals family,
My name is Ben Cooper and I was a PG-9 member with Kyle at The Academy at Swift River over 10 years ago. I was incredibly upset hearing of Kyle's passing. I want to extend, on behalf of all Kyle's friends from Swift River, our deepest sympathies. He is and will always be missed!!
Along with the other members of Peer Group 9, I was in a unique position over the course of 16 months in very close quarters to learn the deepest workings, emotions, and feelings that was Kyle. To confirm something that you already know, the world has been and will be truly worse off without Kyle. His genuine heart and room changing personality were only a few things you knew of Kyle instantly. He will remain in our hearts with the fond memories we are all blessed to have.
Our permanent love,
Ben, Scot, John, Andrew, Dan, James, Nate, Rob, Hillary, Heather, and Amanda

I am so saddened by the news of Kylen's passing which I received six months after his death. It hurts to meet a positive and warm person like Kylen and then never get a chance to say goodbye. My condolences to the Seals family.

Beverly and Jerry:
I was very sorry to hear about Kylen. While I can't pretend to know the depth of what you are experiencing, I do know what it is like to lose a child and to feel so empty, knowing that your lives will never be the same.
My wish for you and your family is that this journey you now begin be full of love, faith, family and friends. Those who will listen with full hearts and be there for you when you need them and have the wisdom to give you your space when you require it.
May you all find peace, acceptance and comfort. My sincere condolences to you and your entire family,

As a parent, I can't think of anything I can say that will help at this moment in time, except that your son's presence was obviously a gift to all he met, and that speaks volumes of a lifetime of love you provided to him. Time will pass, and the pain will lessen, but his light will forever be in your heart and you will always, always have that. I'm sorry for your loss --

Dr. & Mrs Seals and Kia:
I could not believe it when I first saw the notice in the Washington Post. We are so very sorry for your loss. We remembered Kylen visiting Mrs. Tobias here at Morningside House and what a wonderful young man to come see his grandmother. Even now, in your darkest hours, your family came by tonight to share treats with our seniors. What a wonderful gesture! Greatly appreciated! Our sincerest sympathy to your entire family. God bless you.

Kylen was the type of guy who could warm anyone's heart with his infectious smile. I was introduced to Kylen last year. Our time together was brief, but Kylen encourage me never to give up on my friends and my family. He was a True Friend. One who would welcome you into his home with open arms. My memories with Kylen are that of: sitting on the back deck looking out at nature with out having to speak a single word. (Because we are both thinking the same thing..'beautiful'), listening to music really loud while singing along and laughing. Remember when that girl asked us Kylen: "Are you two brother and sister?" We just looked at each other and smiled. Now and forever I will answer yes, you are my brother Kylen, forever. I miss you.

I only knew Kylen briefly, but he is a brother. His down to Earth, level headed outlook on life allowed me to feel as though I understood him, and he understood me. It is hard to believe that such a great life has been cut short.
i thank God for allowing me to have met and spent time with Kylen, and I will celebrate his life and impact forever. My prayers are with you and your family, and with all who knew and loved Kylen. God Bless.

I remember Kylen's gentle, kind nature, especially when he had gotten his puppy and brought him to the July 4th celebration at his Mom and Dad's home. We talked for a long time that day about training and committment to dogs, and had a great time with the puppy. I was glad for that one on one with Kylen because I got to know him better. I will really miss seeing him at the various get togethers.
I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
