Weslaco - Lazaro C. "Chito" Salinas, entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2016, in Houston at the age of 76.

Lazaro is survived by his wife, Socorro G. Salinas; 3 sons, Robert Lazaro Salinas, Jesse James Salinas, and Ernest Salinas; 3 daughters, Elvia Elizondo, Sylvia Cabrera, and Lorena Salinas Rodriguez; a brother, 3 sisters, and numerous Granchildren and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful man that will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place today, October 19, from 3 to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm, at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home in Weslaco. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Thursday, October 20, 2016, at St. Joan of Arc Church in Weslaco. Internment will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home of Weslaco.

Grandpa Chito, there ain't no words to explain how greatful I am to have met you and to have you become a great part of my life. Thank you so much for raising my husband, for making him such a responsible, and amazing man. Thank you for being such a big part in mine and Betos special day. It meant so much.
