LILLIAN LEA LEWIS DEWITT, age 77 years, a resident of Beverly, WV departed this life Saturday morning, October 6, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Saturday, April 13, 1935 at Beverly, WV a daughter of the late George Arnold and Juanita Esta Mae Lewis. On November 16, 1957 she was married to Robert Sidney Dewitt, who survives. They had celebrated fifty-four years of marriage. Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth Robert Dewitt and wife Angie, Elkins; Larry Allen Dewitt, Beverly; three daughters, Vickie Louise Butcher and husband Jack, Beverly; Mary Juanita Morris, Bowden; Lesia Darlene Gibson and husband Lon, Elkins; four brothers, Glen E. Lewis and wife Agnes, KY; Arnold Ray "Bud" Lewis and wife Shirley, FL; Paul E. Lewis and wife Sandy, Morgantown; Alfred "Samp" Lewis and wife Brenda, Beverly; two sisters, Donna Stalnaker Brant and Linda Darlene McCollam and husband Bill, all of Elkins; one sister in law Sue Lewis of Beverly, eleven grandchildren, Noah; Adam; Amy; Jason; Ryan; Seth; and Autumn: Chelsea: Erin; Chloe; and Jarad; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a very special care giver Janet Swecker of Dailey. Preceding her in death are four brothers, Charles Junior; Luther Guy; Allen Dent; and Harry Eugene Lewis. Lillian attended the one-room White School at Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School with the Class of 1953. She had worked for the former G. C. Murphy Company, was a Teacher's Aide for Randolph County Schools for thirty-three years and was a homemaker. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:30 AM. The Rev. Jack Howell will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV. Click Here to View a Video Tribute
