Mrs. Linda Freeman-Miles was born January 23, 1955 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late John Henry Freeman and Georgia Bell Freeman. She was educated in the Muscogee County School District and was a 1973 graduate of Kendrick High School. She later furthered her education attending Columbus College, Columbus Tech and Meadows College. She was attending APEX School of Theology pursuing a Bachelors degree in Christian Education.


As a young child she was told she was blessed with gifted hands. Her gifts and talents were manifested in a numerous Business Ventures which included: Miles Elegant Enterprise, Premier Design, Personal Preference, Catering, Wedding Consultant, Interior Decorating, and Paintings to name a few.


Linda began her Christian journey as a young child at Faith Temple church of God under the leadership of the late Pastor Luraina Copeland. She was a current member of Christian Fellowship Church International Inc. She was an avid church member who enjoyed the multifaceted positions she held. Linda was a member of the mass choir, the usher board, church improvement team and church decorator. She also served with the youth drama ministry, the hospitality, and church & pastor anniversary committee.


Linda had a magnetic personality. She touched and changed many lives. She was a professional and a perfectionist. Everyone knew if Linda was involved, it had to be done right.


Linda was currently employed at the Georgia Department of Labor; prior to this she worked at ResCare and at Ft. Benning.


She was the phenomenal classy business manager for her family gospel group, in her eyes, World Famous Renowned "Freeman Sisters." ©


Many musical opportunities were opened to the group under her leadership. She also managed other local aspiring artist and was often sought after for her managerial skills. As a promoter Linda formed a genuine relationship with gospel giants that were maintained until her passing.


One of the songs Linda had grown to love was "Take me to the King." On Saturday June 1,2013 while in the comfort of her home, she was ushered into the glorious presence of the King. Her passing has left an immense void in the lives of those she loved and cherished.



Linda was the seventh child of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Freeman, and three brothers, Douglas Dewberry, Johnny C. Freeman (JC), and Willie Ed Freeman. She is survived by a loving and faithful husband of 26 years, William A. Miles III; a loving daughter, Giovanni T. Miles, an adopted daughter and son Tanesia M. Bush, and Sherman Adams; two God-children, Jaren Joiner (Jamecia), and Jakayla Ford; a loving, caring and devoted mother, Georgia B. Freeman; three sisters Annie B. Ford of Columbus, GA, Mary Rankins (Clyde) of Columbus, GA, (her ride or die chicks!), and Sarah Dawson of Huey Town, AL; and a very supportive baby brother George H. Freeman (Cathy) of Columbus, GA; two sister-in-laws, Linda Dewberry of Decatur, GA and Jeanette Miles of Columbus, GA; two brother-in-laws, Jerry Miles (Karen) and Freddie Miles (Kathy) both of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Saying good-bye to a friend from the old neighborhood. You will be missed.

Ms. Linda,I never met you face to face. We had a brief yet pleasant conversation over the phone one day. (at work). I instantly knew what kind of person you were. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know she was a wonderful person.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I had the privilege of meeting Linda about 2 or 3 years ago. As a matter of fact, I went to a couple of her Premiere (jewelry) demonstrations.She was extremely professional and very nice.
May the love of God substain you in your hour of bereavement.

Linda, May 10th was the first time that I had seen you in over 20 years, we use to work together on main post. We both were at the Goodwill Job and Resource fair, after we both figured out who each other were we hugged and laughed and caught up with each other.
I look on line today and see you here, what a shock. You were such a sweet person and was I was looking forward to seeing you again, but now I truly will look forward to seeing you again in our Father's House. God Bless your...

Linda, you are already missed! I had known you for such a long time but it was always so much time to go by and we not have contact. It was such a shock to find out that you are gone on to be the Lord now. May you rest in peace sweet lady.
