Not sure what to say?

Linda Lee Dowrey Johnson...what a wonderful, sweet person! Thank you for sharing a short portion of you life with me. Your memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew you.

I will not forget Linda. Always so cool, genteel, ferociously whipsmart and fun. Her talent and her passion will live on!

My sincere condolences to her family.

I feel a strong need to say something, but the magnitude of this loss for her family and the Modesto arts community is so great as to leave me speechless. Like many others here, I feel a debt of gratitude that she lived among us spreading a love of music, theater, spiritual connection, and so much more -- how to live your life with a beautiful purpose and leave the world a much, much better place.

Such a loss, I'm stunned--the good aren't supposed to go first!. Now who will I turn to for good reads? May she always have music to play and great books to read. She will be missed by all!

We are very saddened by this loss of a fine, talented human being.

I met Linda for the first time this summer when Jim and I started meeting once a week to read our parts in Inherit the Wind. I instantly liked her. She was pretty, she didn't make a big deal of it but she was obviously intelligent, and she had a good sense of humor. Also, Jim obviously adored her and that counted for a lot with me. I'm so sorry she's gone because (1) I would have liked to know her more and (2) I know how much Jim will miss her. When you find a lifemate, you don't want to be...

I think of the piano classes I had with Linda every time I drive past MJC, her enthusiasm for teaching was infectious. It is hard to imagine Modesto without her. My deepest sympathy to Jim and family.

Linda was a bright ray of sunshine. She touched so many lives with her talents, friendliness and love! Her spirit will continue to dance, sing and embrace the universe and our hearts forever! Sending hugs and sympathy to you and your family!

Linda was one of my heroes. She approached her many illnesses and their complication with courage, grace and equanimity. Her life was an inspiration for me.

Thank you, Linda.
