Lou Ann Jones, 94, of Beckley, WV passed away peacefully on December 13, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was born April 29, 1923 in Odd WV, the late Abram and Louzina Bolen Garretson.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Carl William Jones, one son Carl William Jones II, brothers; Jim, Wesley, Estel, Beecher, Okey, and Alvie, sisters; Dorothy, Opal, Roxie, Lydia, Monnie, Jenny, Christine, Mavis and Reva.
Lou Ann retired as a Nurse from Raleigh General Hospital after 30 plus years where she trained as a cadet Nurse during WWII. She was also a member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church for 55 years. Mrs. Jones enjoyed hobbies such as cooking, sewing, gardening, reading her bible, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters; Suzy (Greg) Blair of Prosperity, WV, Kathy (Bruce) Dickerson of Sandstone, WV, grandchildren; Carey (Robbie) Shrewsbury of Sandstone, WV, Alli (Duane) Michael of Beckley, WV, Brent Blair of Beckley, WV, BJ (Carley) Dickerson of Bradley, WV, Brittanie (JR) Mink of Shady Springs, WV, great-grandchildren; Greg, CJ, Michelle, Keatley, Cooper, Carlie, Seth, Paige, Blake, Taylor, Logan, TY, Conner, Izzy, and Brayden.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, at 12:30 PM December 17, 2017 at Maxwell Hill Baptist Church-301 Teel Road, Beckley, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.

I'm so sorry to hear about Aunt Anne. She was one of my favorites I love going to the reunions and seeing her and eating the good food she prepared.
