As the Captain of Heavy Rescue 5 I witnessed Lou's compassion in making sure Fire fighter memorials and funerals after 9/11 had apparatus presence for those who lived on Staten Island. He made the difference for the families those days. He will be missed, Respsectfully Submitted Captain John Ferry Rescue 5 FDNY retired.

Lou was a couple of years behind me at St. Pats. We were on the basketball team together. Great guy from every perspective. Kathy was in my class. Outstanding person. Deepest sympathies to the entire Kelly family.
