What a lovely person. I too was an Alpha Phi at ECU; she was a very gracious founding member and was always supportive of ous efforts on campus; your Dad, too, was very helpful and supportive of our group. We were so lucky to have them supporting our sorority. Eleanor Poole, Wake County, North Carolina

I was an Alpha Phi at ECU from 1961-1964, and Mrs. Brimley was one of our founding sisters. She and Dr. Brimley were always very helpful to the local chapter, especially when we were trying to secure a house and our first housemother. I have many warm and special memories of them both. Dr. Brimley was also instrumental in my securing my first teaching position in Winston-Salem in 1964. I will forever be grateful! Dr. & Mrs. Brimley were both very fine people, and I consider myself lucky to have known them. Joan Wetherington Phillips(Roanoke Rapids,NC)

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your family member, Mrs. Brimley - I am deeply saddened and have many fond memories. Mrs. Brimley was an Alpha Phi during the 60's at ECU. It is because of the Brimleys that the Alpha Phis had a house - 950 East 10th St. Greenville, NC. Mrs. Brimley taught us how to eat fried chicken like ladies -- where will we ever find a replacement? I hope that somehow knowing how much we loved your parents will help during this time.

To Ann and the family: My heart is sadden by the passing of your Mother. But what a blessing for the family to have her with you for all these years. I remember such fond memories of your Mother and Daddy. I worked with Dr. Ralph at ECU during the 1960's until his retirement and visited them several times after they moved to the retirement home. He was a very special person in the life of my family. During the time I worked with Dr. Ralph, your Mother became a good friend during the time they lived in Greenville.
