My father served with then 1st Lt. Lucian Bolduc in the Korean War. They were in Company L, 187th ARCT. My dad spoke fondly of Blackie and said "he was a west pointer, and was one of the smartest men in the company. If any of his children would like to get in touch sometime, my email is [email protected]. Eugene Iron Shell, Jr. Rosebud, South Dakota

As a 2nd Lieutenant recently graduated from USMA and assigned to a mechanized battalion at Ft. Hood in 1971 I had just received documents from the Federal Pension Bureau concerning my great great grandfather Augustin Gagne who had served in 4th Maine Light Battery (1864-65). I had requested the material to learn specifics of this soldier whose portrait had been presented to me as a graduation present. The material had included parish documents regarding my great great grandmother's...

Dear Bolduc Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Lucien's passing. I always heard him referred to as Lucien, but I really like Blackie! My name is Maryanna Massey, and I was married to Peter Massey, who was the last child of Frank and Bertha Bolduc Massey. I just came across the Bolduc-Fleming Family History in my "archives" and thought I would google Lucien to see if I could discover how i could make a connection with him or the family, since my children have Bolduc cousins. Actually, I...

Dear Bolduc Family,
I had the honor of working for General Bolduc in 1980-1981 as his Aide-de-Camp. We stayed in touch and exchanged Christmas cards as recently as December 2016.
