My grandfather was always a kind man. I was blessed with being able to spend time with both my grand parents most summers until I graduate from high school.

It is not his military service I remember him for though there is a black and white picture of him in his uniform that is etched in my memory. I am grateful for his willingness to fight for our freedom and liberty but that was not something I ever saw much of.

Lou was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He was always looking out for my sister Cathy and I will forever be grateful to Lou. If you had Lou as a friend, you had a friend for life. Sleep well Lou

Louis was such a wonderful part of my life and such a wonderful Grandfather to my children and Great-Grandfather to my grandchildren. I am so thankful we got to see him this summer! He was such a blessing to all of us!

I never got to thank Lou for taking such good care of my sister Cathy. Lou was one of the last true gentlemen in the world. Rest in peace Sir.

Nancy, Marty and John - I am sincerely sorry for the loss of Lou "Dad". I am so grateful to have been able to spend so many great years getting to know him. Lou was like a Father to me, he was someone who made me smile everytime I saw him, I looked forward to when he would be in the yard feeding the birds or picking tomatoes cause I knew we would talk over the fence.
