Lurana Truesdell, Beloved child of God, left this earth to be with Him on October 6, 2012 after a short illness. She celebrated her 100th birthday July 22, 2012. She had a wonderful, fulfilling life. She lived independently in Somers, New York until March of 2012 when she moved to Conroe, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Muriel (Merle) and John Payne. She had many interests and hobbies: hair dresser, genealogy, avid gardener, wonderful seamstress and knitter, stamp and coin collector, and in her nineties she decided to try wood working at her community work shop. She was predeceased by her parents, three siblings, husband Ed Truesdell, and son Dale Flanagan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Muriel and John Payne, daughter-in-law Justine Flanagan, grandchildren Barton Payne, Dedra Payne Coffee (Mike), Michael Flanagan (Abby), Dean Flanagan (Jessica), and Heather Flanagan Brennan (Paul). Also surviving are 17 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 11:00am Saturday October 20, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church, Conroe.

It was a great pleasure to have known Ann for so many years. We always enjoyed seeing her when we visited the Flanagans. She was a very special lady who was a great role model.
