Lyle R. Payne

PAYNE, Lyle Raymond - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Friday, October 24, 2025 at Fenton Healthcare. 

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Contributions may be made to the Food Bank or Genesee County Animal Control.

Lyle was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 9, 1938, the son of the late John Ward Payne and Mary Bell Sutherland. On April 2, 1960, he married Priscilla Russell in Pontiac, Michigan. Lyle was a member of the Lake Orion Jaycees and the Lake Orion Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving are wife, Priscilla;

daughter, Kimberly Pennala-Jones (Bill);

son, Kurt Payne (Lisa)

grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren) Jones, Joseph (Cassie) Jones, Anthony Jones, Tiffany (Steve) Whiting Payne and Stewart Payne;

great-grandchildren, Ripley, Rhyatt, Joseph, Sara, Raiden, Brooke and Reagan;

and brother, Dale Payne.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Donald, Gordon, Lester, Billy and Chuck and sister, Marilyn Henderson.
