Mamie Wheat

VERSAILLES - Mamie Wheat, 82, departed this life Tue, May 14 at the University of KY. A native of Douglasville, GA, she was the daughter of the late James and Hester Robinson. She was a retired cook and sitter. Survivors include her children, James (Charlotte) Wheat, Thomas Wheat of Lexington, Joanna Franklin, Gary (Violet) Carter, Kevin Carter, Anthony Carter and Jeffery Wheat, all of Versailles; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Coy Robinson and Clara Bell Kendricks; nieces, nephews and cousins. Service 1pm Sat. at St Paul AME Church. Visitation 6-8pm Fri, church. Arr. O.L. Hughes & Sons Mortuary.
