SPRINGFIELD – Maralyn J. (Cloughly) Costantini, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born on October 4, 1932 in Chicopee, the daughter of the late David and Carrie (Burke) Cloughly. She was educated in local schools and moved to Springfield in 1951. Maralyn was employed as the Switchboard Operator of the former Del Padre Television and Electronics store in Springfield for many years and was a former member of the Pine Point Senior Center where she had acted as the secretary. Her husband, Mario F. Costantini, passed away on May 1, 2004 and her brother, Robert Cloughly, passed away in 1956. Maralyn leaves behind 3 daughters, Leonora Marsland and her husband Kevin of Laconia, NH, Suzanne Manley and her husband Sean of Springfield and Bethann Templeman and her husband Bruce of Eustis, FL, 3 sisters, Arlene Cloughly of East Longmeadow, Elinor Ertel of Florida and Dorothy Dutton of Longmeadow. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Mary Kate Wiley, Melissa Kenny, Bethann Jackson, Stephen Manley, Ellen Manley, Nicholas Gilmartin, James Gilmartin and Timothy Gilmartin, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A private service will be held with committal prayers being offered at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam where she will be interred with her husband Mario. In keeping with Maralyn's love of animals, it is requested that contributions in her memory be made to the TJO Foundation, 627 Cottage St., Springfield, MA, 01104. The Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee is in charge of the arrangements.
