MARGARET STUART Obituary

MARGARET
STUART, 89

LAKELAND - Surrounded by her family at home, Margaret Q. Stuart, 89, was called to the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 23rd, 2012, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born December 16, 1922, in Montour Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Ella (Bowlby) Quirk.
"Margie" as she liked to be called, loved her family, church activities, gardening and cooking. She will be remembered most of all for her gift of encouragement. In her lifetime, she sent thousands of cards with notes of encouragement. She always had a hug and smile for you and would call you just to see how you were doing.
She was a longtime member of the Alfred-Almond Bible Church in Almond, N.Y. While living in Florida during the winter months she faithfully attended First Alliance Church in Lakeland, Florida.
Margie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Kenneth, one son Mike (Diane) Stuart of Hornell, NY, and one daughter Kathy Isaman of Lakeland, FL. Also surviving are four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and one brother John Quirk of Lakeland, FL.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Alliance Church, 1919 E. Edgewood Dr., Lakeland, FL, on Saturday, April 28th at 3PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to: Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL, 33823-3229; Lakeland Regional Cancer Center, 3525 Lakeland Hill Blvd., Lakeland, FL, and First Alliance Church, 1919 E. Edgewood Dr., Lakeland, FL., 33803.

Mrs. Stuart, or grandma Stuart as she told us to call her, was such a warm and loving person. She wrote to me frequently when I was away at basic training and further on into my training for the Air Force. She and her kind words will be missed.
