Margaret Smith Obituary

SMITH, MARGARET LOUISE VOWELL - born July 3, 1907, age 103 passed away at Hillcrest West Nursing Home on April 6, 2011. Prior to her declining health she attended Marble City Baptist Church where she was a member. She loved Ms. Ruth's Sunday school class. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Anna Vowell. She was also preceded in death by beloved family members, husband Bruce Smith; sons Ott Smith and Bruce Smith Jr.; granddaughters Doris Scates Grubbs, and Judy Everett Bautista; great grandson Jason Munsey; five sisters and three brothers; sons-in-law Frank Scates, and Roscoe Jones. Survived by son Wayne Smith and wife Wilma; daughters Marie Everett, Faye Scates Jones, Jane Wyrick and husband Robert all of Knoxville; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and twenty great great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to those at Hillcrest West especially the CNA's on hall three, also Caris Hospice for their love and care. Special thanks to Janie Wilks who cared for our Mom as if she were her own. May God bless all of you. Mom was a source of inspiration to everyone. We will always remember her love and sense of humor. Family will receive friends Saturday 1-2 pm at Weavers with service to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow service at Lebanon Cemetery. Chaplain Tom Baez officiating. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
