we are so sorry to hear about Maria's passing. My wife and I have known her for many years as she always brought her mother Cruz to our office. Always radiant and full of life. Maria was one of the most genuine leaders I've ever known. A powerful force for change. Pinellas County has truly lost a rare jewel. May her Legacy become as meaningful and powerful as she was. Peace.

I have many favorite memories of Maria, and she is someone who, to this day, I aspire to be like. She was a wonderful role model is so many ways. My deepest sympathy to her family.
