Mark Douglas Burgin, 62, husband of Vickie Burgin, passed away March 23, 2023 at his home in Anderson County.  Born in Shelbyville, KY on April 20, 1960, Mark was a son of the late Charles Burgin, Jr. and Aline Mischler Burgin. 


A former employee of Universal Fasteners and General Cable, he and his wife Vickie also operated the former This & That Antique Store in downtown Lawrenceburg for 9 years.  He was a member of the Green River Christian Church in Liberty, KY.  He loved his cats, dogs, cows, and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting.  


Including Vickie, his wife of 34 years, he is survived by two children, Will Ackerman and April (husband Carl) Roth, both of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Joshua Bryant, Tyler (Destanie) Ackerman, and Charity Ackerman; and two brothers, Glenn (Patsy) Burgin and Jeff Burgin. 


Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Leslie Bentley will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. 


Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Bryant, Tyler Ackerman, Charity Ackerman, Zach Thompson, Chad Jones, and Jimmy Jones.
