Marthann “Marty” Worsley, age 70 of Elwood, died June 6, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born May 31, 1937 in Peru, Indiana. She was a Secretary for the Madison County Commissioners, and retired in 2004. She was a 1955 graduate of Peru High School. She was a member of the Elwood Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood for 3 years.

Survivors include: Husband whom she married September 1, 1957 - Dean W. Worsley of Elwood; 4 Children- Theresa L. and husband Dave Jackel of Pittsburgh, PA., David E. and wife Cindy Worsley of Elwood, Kathy A. Bean of Gaffney, SC, Mark E. and wife Terry Worsley of Elwood; Brother- Terry P. and wife Donita Weinke of Peru; 8 Grandchildren - Kristin Worsley of Elwood, Matthew Jackel of Pittsburg, Sydnee Stephens of Gaffney,SC, Kelsee Stephens of Gaffney, SC, Andrew Jackel of Pittsburg, PA, Derek Worsley of Elwood, Troy Worsley of Elwood, and Kevin Worsley of Elwood. She was preceded in death by: Parents – Paul Edward and Helen (Sampson) Weinke; and Brother Jay Weinke

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elwood with President Doug Beamer presiding and Jack Phillips conducting. Burial will take place in Forrestville Cemetery in Summitville. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM Sunday June 10, 2007 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Volunteers of St. Vincent Mercy Hospital will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Online condolences to the Worsley family may be made at www.copherfeslermay.com.

I would like too thank everyone that came to this site and offered a kind word. I know that Mom is in a better place and pain free. We are still altogether still and that has helped easy the loss, although my sister will be heading back too there homes at the end of the week,and thats when it will hit me,right now i feel as if iam dreaming,I had so much more i wanted too say too Mom.
