Not sure what to say?

I knew Marty at Princeton, and more recently saw him and Irene at various friends' parties and at Princeton alumni events in the Hartford area. He was an outstanding doctor, but never pompous, and always likable. On behalf of the Class of 1957 Caring Committee and myself personally, we extend our sincere sympathies to his family members. He will be sorely missed.

Dearest Carrie-Beth- We are so sorry we could not be with you today to say goodbye to your beloved father. We are thinking of you and all of Martin´s dear family at this very sad time and extend our deepest sympathy to all.

Single Memorial Tree

I have missed Martin's company and camaraderie since leaving Hartford, but I have thought of him, Irene and his children frequently in the subsequent years. He was the man who brought me on in the Pathology Department at Hartford, introduced me and my then wife Stacy to his circle of friends with great generosity, and I will forever be grateful that he saw potential in me. A gentle giant of a wonderful human being.

I had the pleasure of knowing Martin while he was a personal training client at the Mandell JCC> Martin always had a smile and sense of humor. I always looked forward to the time with him. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Irene, Carrie-Beth, Adrienne and Rosanne, my deepest condolences to you all!! I have so many, many wonderful memories with the Berman family!! May all that was good in his life give you comfort at this very sad time! With love, Eva Pollack

I was a resident in pathology at Hartford Hospital when Dr Berman was the Director of Pathology there. This was in the mid seventies. Dr Berman was a great teacher, a great mentor and a kind, upstanding person. Sorry that he is no more. My condolences and prayers

December 7, 2022 Dear Family, We were saddened upon learning of our good friend and fellow Old Guard member Marty´s passing. At our next meeting, Marty´s memory will be honored and recognized by prayers for him and his family. As you know, Marty was such a loyal member who regularly attended our meetings. He especially enjoyed renewing cherished friendships he developed throughout his years with us. Marty was a good friend and kind gentleman whom we will greatly miss. May he rest in...

My deepest condolences to Dr. Berman's family, friends, & loved ones. He was a very kind & patient teacher and led the Hartford Hospital Dept of Anatomic Pathology in a wise and gentle manner. I remember he put up a quote by Heraclitus on the wall for us one day when chaos was all around: "The only constant in life is change." Dr. Berman was also a constant in our lives back then, though, always a steady & caring presence. Rest in peace, Dr Berman.
