Marvin D. Trent, II, 28, Henderson, passed away at 6:48 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014, at Methodist Hospital Union County.

He lived life for his family and friends. He attended First Assembly of God Church. He worked at River View Alliance Coal in Uniontown. Marvin was one of the Henderson County High School's freshman football coaches teaching them how to win in life as well as on the field. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Kristopher Ryan Kirtley; his grandparents, Ray Douglas Kirtley, Raymond Trent, Sr., and Clara Bruce; and his beloved dog, Mak.

Survivors include his wife of six years, Holly Linzy Trent; one daughter, Kadence Linzy of Henderson; two sons, Lafe Linzy and Zeke Ryan Trent, both of Henderson; his mother, Pam Westerman and her husband, Wesley, of Henderson; his father, Marvin D. Trent and his companion, Cheryl Reynolds, of Evansville; his grandparents, Charles and Rena Dixon of Henderson; two sisters, Cheyenne Trent and Raegan Trent, both of Evansville; Holly's parents, Marlon and Vicki Linzy of Henderson; one stepbrother, Justin Westerman of Evansville; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Reverend Thomas A. Emerson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Campbell, Sammy Risley, Chris Mchatton, Josh Clevenger, Orrie Phillips, James Jeck, Carl Bradburn, and Kevin Tapp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henderson County Freshman Football Team.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Marsha's Place.

I pray that the good Lord wraps you in strength and love during this very difficult loss. Marvin was always such a witty guy who made people laugh and made people feel they mattered. God Bless Marvin's family.

Marvin was such a good person! We went to junior high and high school together. Prayers to his family! He will be missed but I truly believe he is with Kris and they are in a better place!

Im so sorry for your loss. Marvin was a great person and loved his family very much. We are going to miss seeing him come in to Tradition auto sales. He always had a smile on his face and loved to visit with us. May you find peace
