Having just received the news of Mom's death a few minutes ago, Elaine and I will not be able to be home to New Jersey in time for the funeral, a sad situation. We will be celebrating Mom's life here with a day of remembrance, prayer and gratitude for her.

Mary was surely one of the dearest women I have ever known, and it has been a blessing to have her for a Mother-in-law for 25 years. I cherish the memories of her delight in simple things, her wonderful humor, her great cooking, her courage and patience. I remember fondly the years spending holidays together when Robert and I lived in Philly, as well as the many times Mary and Russ traveled to Michigan to spend a summer week with us here at the beach.
