Mary Virginia Washam DeVillier Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Virginia Washam DeVillier, 86, of Anniston will be Friday, April 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Dr. Randy Postell and the Rev. Jason Hill officiating with burial following at Marble City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday one hour before the service at the Funeral Home. Mrs. DeVillier passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Southside. Mrs. DeVillier is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Dennis) Clay; sisters, Reba Nell Jordan, and June Palmer; grandchildren, Renate Clay and Major Steven (Nicki) Clay; and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Macey Clay. Mrs. DeVillier is preceded in death by her father, John Wiley Washam Sr.; mother, Maudie Stribling Washam; brother, John Wiley Washam Jr.; sister, Helen Washam Jones. Mrs. DeVillier was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a member of 1st Baptist Church of Saks, and was retired from Sears after 35 years. In lieu of flowers family request donations to 1st Baptist Church of Saks building fund or Gideons International. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhillfh.com
