Not sure what to say?

Maureen was a wonderful friend. She had a strong, energetic presence, yet a gentle touch. Mo was an empathetic and always interesting companion. She was my number one film buff. We spent many hours enjoying movies, some of which I'd never heard of, and I invariably learned a lot. She loved my dogs dearly and they returned her unconditional love. She had a strong sense of morality and wanted to do what was right, often fighting hard for the "underdog." I cherished my time with her and...

I am still processing Maureens death in my mind and heart. She spent happy weekends in Roanoke with me and was a long standing and wonderful friend. Maureen was intelligent, conversational and a great PT. After 30 years of having her in my life, I shall miss her for a very long time. Virginia Balserak

A warm and caring person. A real loss.
My condolences to Maureen's Partner and family.

I knew Maureen many years ago in C'ville. What a kind and gentle woman. i am saddened to hear if her death.
My condolences to her Partner and family.
I am fortunate to have known her, she is in my heart.

If you live on Little Street, then you had a friend in Mo. She was always ready to pitch in, to chat, to massage our dog. She had so much love to give and we are grateful for that which she gave to us. We miss the smiles, the kind words, the sweet lady, Maureen.

My tender, tender, giving soul. Thank you. I love you always. Morie

Just a normal day for Maureen... volunteering to do something for someone else

As Maureen's next door neighbor and friend, I feel such a loss. I so enjoyed the little chats we'd have in the driveway or in front of our houses. She was sooo generous and truly cared about us. I can't count the number of times I was doing yardwork or painting when Maureen would come over without my even asking and pitch right in... the best part was the conversations we would have that would make the task go by so quickly. She loved us, our kids and even our cat, and we all loved her. ...

Dismayed and deeply saddened, I express my heartfelt sympathy to LaMora and all of us who loved Maureen.
While she lived in Charlottesville, we remained friends throughout the years and some of the "things" I most fondly remember about Mo is her respect for nature, how she loved sunsets on the Blue Ridge Parkway, tubing down the James and sharing her passion for good books and great films! She stayed loyal to those Washington Redskins and loved a good cup of coffee with the morning...

Fond memories when Morie and I met Maureen and sister Kathy at Arlington softball. She was our inspiration on the field, Redskins fan, and greatest physical therapist. We will miss you Mo XOXO Pat and Gloria
