Maurus was T&B! He made T&B a great company with his many inventions and developed a whole new way tying "things" together.
The "father" of the tyrap will be missed

MAURUS WAS INDEED A VERY FINE GENTLEMEN AND A GOOD FRIEND FOR SOME 50 YEARS. HE WAS WELL RESPECTED AND LIKED BY ALL WHO KNEW AND OR WORKED WITH HIM. HIS CONTRIBUTION TO TNB WAS OUTSTANDING. OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY. HE WILL BE MISSED AND REMEMBERED BY ALL. BOB & DELORES NEHRING

Maurus is the epitome of a gentleman scholar. Although most associates of T & B both current and past probably don’t realize what an enormous contribution Maurus made to the profitability and growth of the company. It was truly the invention of the Ty-Rap that provided not only the sales volume but also the cash required to invest in the future. Maurus was always humble about his contribution and eager to work with others for the good of the company.
The T & B family has lost a true icon....

Carol and I were saddened to hear of Maurus's passing. He was a dear friend, to us and so many others, all of whom, I'm sure, feel the same as we do. We have lost a true gentleman, one who comes along only rarely, and who will remain in our prayers forever.

As a 30 year employee of T&B and a fellow neighbor of Maurus and having worked as a planner and Materials Manager of the tyrap plant in Montgomeryville I was very much aware of the contribution that was made by a great gentleman. It was an honor to have known him. I was also a communicant of St Genevieves.
