BAKER, Michael Bryant. An angel, Michael Bryant Baker, was born November 27, 1969 to the late Mary Ida Baker Townes, Mechanicsville, Va. Our beloved Mike was called home to be with the Lord suddenly on March 26, 2011. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sonya M. Hubbard-Baker; two daughters, Brittany and Milan Baker; two sons, Jalen Williams and Damarae Kendall of Tappahannock, Va.; two stepchildren, SaMiyah and Samuel Taylor IV; a sister, Renea Baker of Fredericksburg, Va.; mother-in-law, Sandra Hubbard; three sisters-in-law, Jennifer Tarrington, JayMee Hubbard and DeCima Deadman; a niece, Tracie Baker-Taylor; a nephew, Travaughn Baker-Johnson; three nephews-in-law and six nieces-in-law; a devoted friend, Lisa Beasley; and a host of family and friends. Remains will lie in state Saturday (today), 11 a.m., at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary St., where homegoing services will be held at 12 noon. Dr. Earl M. Brown, pastor. Rev. Maceo Freeman officiating. Burial at First Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Va. Arrangements entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St.
