Michael Grimes Obituary
AGE: 59 • Toms River
Michael E. Grimes, 59, of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Decatur, IL, he has been a resident of Toms River since 1961. Michael owned and operated his own Computer Consulting Company. Michael loved the outdoors, especially boating, fishing and hunting.
He was predeceased by his father, William Eugene Grimes; and his brother, Mark Grimes. He is survived by his loving wife of six years Kim Grimes; his son, Michael Grimes and wife Fuyuko of Toms River; his daughter, Jennifer Grimes and companion Jason Gamba of Bayville; his mother, Catherine Grimes of Toms River; his step-children, Troy Burton and Courtney Androcy, both of Forked River; three sisters, Melanie Coffman and husband Richard of Idaho, Monica Mackie and husband Tom of Waretown and Marcia Grimes of Toms River. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Ava, Ana, Michael, Malorey and Carter as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, May 30, from 3 to 6 p.m. with Words of Remembrance to take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Michael's life will be held Monday, June 1, 2015, 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting https//m.donate.cancer.org. Family and friends are invited to visit www.andersonandcampbell.com to leave tributes to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael as my IT mentor years ago. His customers adored him - he always greeted them with his dazzling smile, warm funny personality and incredible knowledge. Its true Michaels personality truly would light up a room. But, most of all, Michael talking about his family would put a gleam in his eye like no other. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Michael's family and loved ones, great and small.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. My heart goes out to his wife, children, mom and sisters. 59 is way too young to be taken. He was a truly genuine person with a wonderful smile and what I thought was an odd sense of humor, but loved him anyway.

Mike was a good friend at St Joes and TRHSS. Always had a great smile and was full of life. So shocked to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. Far too young to lose such a vibrant guy. RIP Mike.
